BOULDER, Colo.—Firefighters are responding to several reports of lightning-sparked fires in Boulder County.

The sheriff’s office said at least two wildfires were burning near Lyons, north of Boulder Wednesday afternoon. Authorities say a quickly moving fire near Coffintop Mountain in north Boulder County is between 20 and 30 acres. Fire crews are using aircraft to attack it.

People in 15 homes are on standby in case they need to leave.

A fire that started Sunday and has charred 60 acres in Lefthand Canyon west of Boulder is 95 percent contained.

In southern Colorado, planes continue to drop water on hot spots in a 7-square-mile wildfire near Westcliffe. The blaze is 80 percent contained.

A 50-acre fire in a training area at Fort Carson outside Colorado Spring was 50 percent contained Wednesday.
