COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—A teenage girl has been rescued after she spent nearly an hour stranded on a sheer cliff face.

A rock climbing team with the Colorado Springs Fire Department was called in after the girl could not climb down the cliffs, which overlook the banks of Monument Creek.

The girl did not suffer any major injuries. According to KRDO-TV, the girl told rescue crews that she was exploring in the area when she found herself on the outcropping.
