CENTENNIAL — Agents seized about 800 bags full of hallucinogenic mushrooms from a suburban Denver home in what officers are calling the largest mushroom operation they’ve ever seen.
Two men face drug distribution charges after Tuesday’s raid at a rented home in Centennial.
Forty-one-year-old Keith Davis and Augustin Rodrigez were charged.
Capt. Larry Etheridge with the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office told KMGH-Channel 7 that the street value for the mushrooms is $225,000.
Etheridge said authorities believe the men were selling the mushrooms online.
Davis faces an additional child porn count and a child abuse count after marijuana was found out in the open of the home where a toddler also lived.
Several neighbors told the television station they always wondered why the new renters had moved in at midnight roughly six weeks ago.
