Three men armed with handguns kicked in the door of a Colorado Springs apartment this morning and ransacked the home, stealing electronic equipment.
The incident happened at about 4:25 a.m. in the 700 block of Chapman Drive, at the Pine Creek Village Apartments, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department crime blotter.
Four residents of the apartment told police they were sleeping when the home invasion began.
“Once inside the three suspects ordered the four occupants of the apartment to the ground and began ransacking the apartment,” police said.
The three armed robbers are at large.
Police do not believe the crime was random and an investigation is ongoing.
No one was injured.
