COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—A Colorado Springs police officer accused of sexually assaulting several children has resigned from the force.
The police department says it received Joshua Carrier’s resignation on Thursday and the department accepted it.
Carrier was first arrested on charges of possessing child pornography. Shortly after his arrest several people came forward, leading to a 78 count indictment.
Carrier pleaded not guilty this week to the child porn charges, according to KRDO-TV.
