Police on Thursday morning identified the suspect in a shooting in Denver’s Westwood neighborhood.
Marcus Coomber, 19, was being held in the Denver jail on suspicion of attempted murder, said Sonny Jackson, a Denver Police Department spokesman.
Coomber is suspected of shooting another man in the face.
The incident happened at about noon Wednesday in the 4300 block of West Exposition Avenue, Jackson said.
The suspect and victim, whom police described as acquaintances, had a verbal argument that escalated and led to the shooting. The victim remained hospitalized in critical condition.
