Denver police are offering a $2,000 reward for information on an incident late Thursday in which a driver hit a woman in a wheelchair, then fled the scene.
The woman, who is in her mid-to-late-40s, was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, Denver police Spokesman Sonny Jackson said.
Police received a call around 11:30 p.m. about a woman lying in the roadway in the 2100 block of South Holly Street, just north of East Evans Avenue. The caller reported that the woman was lying near a wheelchair.
Jackson said authorities have been unable to speak with the woman to obtain a description of the vehicle or any other information. He did not release the victim’s name.
