All but one lane on U.S. Highway 285 near Conifer will has re-opened after a semi-trailer truck rolled into Turkey Creek.

At 9:21 a.m., a semi traveling on the highway rolled over and went into the creek near Turkey Creek Road, said Trooper Heather Cobler, a spokeswoman for the Colorado State Patrol.

Currently both southbound lanes are open, and one northbound lane has opened, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.

Two people had to be extricated from the semi, both with moderate injuries. One person was taken to St. Anthony’s Hospital and Medical Center and the other was taken to Swedish Medical Center.

A hazardous materials crew was called to insure that the the semi’s fuel tanks were not leaking, Cobler said.

The semi was not hauling any fuel.
