A woman was injured last night when she fell about 20 feet in Red Rocks Park.

The incident happened at about 11:30 p.m. and it took firefighters about an hour to get to the victim and safely extract her, said Michelle French, a West Metro Fire Protection District spokeswoman.

The woman was taken to St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood. Details on her injuries were not available.

The featured show in the amphitheater on Thursday was the Global Dance Festival.

In June a 20-year-old woman fell to her death in the park. Christina Leisha Tongen, of Highlands Ranch, died when she fell about 100 feet from a rock formation south of the amphitheater.
