Getting your player ready...

For NBA fans, the day the annual schedule is released is like Christmas morning. Alas, today it just feels like a Tuesday afternoon.

It’s quite possible there won’t be an NBA season at all, due to the current lockout. If games are played, it’s very realistic that some of the early months will be canceled.

However, if the lockout is lifted, the Nuggets are scheduled to open up on Nov. 3 at Portland, a Thursday night game set for TNT. And the most-anticipated game on the schedule is Wednesday, Nov. 16, when Carmelo Anthony, Chauncey Billups and the New York Knicks play their lone game in Denver.

The final game of the season, April 18, is at home versus the Lakers. The defending champions from Dallas come to Denver on Nov. 25 and March 19. Jan. 13, a Friday, is the Nuggets’ lone game in Denver against LeBron James and the Miami Heat.
