COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—A deer shot with a pellet gun was struck and killed by a car when it tried to escape.
Colorado Springs police say they were called Wednesday by someone trying to move a deer off of his property after he shot it with a pellet rifle.
The deer was then struck by a passing motorist and died.
The Colorado Division of Wildlife is investigating.
