A Hygiene fire chief accused of impersonating a police officer and driving under the influence appeared in court for advisement Thursday morning.
William Nelson, 57, faces charges of impersonating a peace officer, prohibited use of a weapon, driving under the influence, improper use of volunteer fire ambulance lights and possession of marijuana.
Nelson is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. Aug. 11.
