FORT CARSON, Colo.—Fort Carson is hosting both former defense secretary Donald Rumsfeld and drag racer Tony “The Sarge” Schumacher.
Schumacher is a seven-time National Hot Rod Association Top Fuel champion whose dragster is sponsored by the Army. He signed autographs and posed for photographs with his show car at the post exchange on Thursday morning.
Rumsfeld is scheduled to appear at the exchange later to sign copies of his memoir. Fort Carson says proceeds from sales of “Known and Unknown” will go to military charities sponsored by the Rumsfeld Foundation.
