Gas prices in Denver continued to buck the national trend this week with the average cost of a gallon of gasoline falling 0.6 cents, according to the website .
That decrease compared to a national increase of 2.0 cents per gallon with the national average cost of a gallon of gas at $3.69.
By comparison, the cost of a gallon of gas in Denver was $3.44.
The cost of a gallon in Denver was 8.4 cents lower than a month ago but 86.3 cents higher than the same day a year ago.
The national average has increased 9.9 cents per gallon during the last month and stand 94.4 cents per gallon higher than this day one year ago.
