BOULDER, Colo.—A Boulder advisory board is recommending that the city council consider fees for businesses using city parks to run boot camps, yoga classes and other programs.

Businesses now need a permit, but they aren’t charged a fee.

City officials say the programs are in direct competition with similar programs offered by the city’s recreation centers.

According to the Boulder Daily Camera, the advisory board is recommending that businesses that use the parks the least would pay an annual fee of $50. Businesses with the most use of city parks would pay $750.
