The man who died at Carter Lake after falling from a personal watercraft on Tuesday, was identified today.

At 4:25 p.m., Ryan Jenkins, 32 of Greeley, was unresponsive when he was pulled from the water, according to a news release from the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office.

Jenkins was taken to shore by private boat, before he was taken to McKee Medical Center in Loveland. He was pronounced dead at 5:40 p.m.

The manner and cause of death have not been released, but police to believe that Jenkins died of natural causes.

Witnesses said he was operating the personal watercraft with two passengers when he fell overboard, struggled to get back on the vessel then appeared to lose consciousness.
