CSU picks up speed at wideout.
Colorado State signed wide receiver Derek Serowski, but he won’t play for the Rams this season.
The 6-foot-4, 187-pounder from Moore, Okla., will have three years of eligibility beginning in 2012.
Serowski, who has 4.4-second speed in the 40-yard dash, originally signed with the Central Oklahoma football team in February 2010. But that spring, after winning four events at the Oklahoma state high school track and field championships, including the 100 and 200 meters, he drew interest from football teams at Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas Tech and Arkansas.
He is ineligible this season because Central Okla- homa refused to grant his release.
