A grand jury convened in May issued an indictment for Dale Bruner for the murder of his wife Stephanie Roller Bruner in Silverthorne in November, District Attorney Mark Hurlbert and Silverthorne police announced today.
The indictment charges Bruner with second-degree murder, two counts of first degree assault and three counts of tampering with physical evidence.
Bruner was taken into custody without incident this afternoon soon after the grand jury issued the indictment, according to a statement from the DA and police. He is currently being held at Summit County Jail on $50,000 bond.
Bruner, of Silverthorne, has been a prime suspect in the case since soon after Roller Bruner’s death was ruled a homicide, a few weeks after her body was discovered in the Blue River last fall.
