Two of the Rapids’ games in the group stage of the 2011-12 CONCACAF Champions League have been determined, with four yet to be scheduled.
The Rapids will host Isidro Metapan of El Salvador at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park on Aug. 17, and will travel to Honduras the following week to play Real España on Aug. 23.
Also in the Rapids’ group is Santos Laguna of Mexico. Teams will play home and away against each team in the group. Three of the Rapids’ group stage games will be played in September and one in October, with dates yet to be determined.
Tickets to the Aug. 17 match go on sale today.
Two dozen teams will compete in the tournament, including five MLS teams. The champion will be crowned next April.
