A man was arrested Wednesday after he allegedly stabbed a 7-Eleven store clerk, according to Colorado Springs police.

Michael Tapia entered the store at 1801 S. Nevada Ave. at about 9:45 a.m., police said. He became angry with the clerk and stabbed him, officers reported. When police arrived, Tapia drove away, then jumped from his car and ran from officers.

Using information in Tapia’s car, police tracked him down and arrested Tapia at his home. He was charged with second-degree assault.
