A man who barricaded himself in a Highlands Ranch house was taken into custody about 6 p.m today, according to Sgt. Ron Hanavan of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department.

Hanavan said that deputies were dispatched to 1300 block of West Braewood Avenue at 4:48 p.m. on reports of a disturbance.

At the scene, they found that the man had barricaded himself in the residence, said Hanavan.

A little over an hour later, deputies made entry into the home and arrested the man. Hanavan said that neither the deputies nor the man were injured during the arrest.

Hanavan said the investigation is ongoing.
