PAGOSA SPRINGS, Colo.—Archuleta County commissioners have fined a Pagosa Springs medical marijuana dispensary owner $250 after he admitted he failed to keep the pot secured.

Bill Delany’s camera helped catch four people stealing from his shop in June.

Delany tells the Durango Herald ( ) he was distracted by a July 1 deadline to bring his business into compliance with the new state rules.

Other marijuana shop owners and customers have opposed the video camera rule because of the expense and privacy concerns.
