DENVER—The head of United Continental Holdings says improvements for travelers are on the way.

Jeff Smisek told business travel managers on Sunday that improvements will include flat-bed seats to first and business class on long-haul aircraft, doubling overhead bin space on some jets, and adding wireless.

According to the Denver Post ( ), business travel is playing a key role in airline revenues and the company plans to invest more than $500 million to retrofit its aircraft.
