Airlines, including Denver’s three largest carriers, are issuing Hurricane Irene- related travel advisories for East Coast flights.
United Airlines is waiving change fees for customers traveling today through Sunday through these airports: Charleston, S.C.; Myrtle Beach, S.C.; Norfolk, Va.; and Raleigh/Durham, N.C.
Southwest Airlines customers with reservations for travel between the following airports starting Saturday through Monday are eligible to reschedule without paying an additional charge: Albany, N.Y.; Baltimore/ Washington; Boston; Hartford/Springfield, Conn.; Long Island’s MacArthur; Manchester, N.H.; Newark Liberty; New York’s LaGuardia; Norfolk, Va.; Philadelphia; Providence, R.I.; and Washington Dulles.
Frontier Airlines has enacted guidelines for travel Thursday through Monday for Boston; Hartford, Conn.; Newport News/Williamsburg, Va.; LaGuardia; Newark Liberty; Philadelphia; and Washington, D.C.
Change fees will be waived for customers who are en route and want to change a return trip or have not begun to travel. Tickets must have been purchased before Wednesday, with rebooking completed by midnight Monday and travel completed by Sept. 4.
