Jefferson County investigators are looking for a fourth suspect in the slaying of a 69-year- old Denver man who was found stabbed to death on Mount Zion above Golden last week.
Edwin Ernesto Rivera Gracias, 27, was named as a suspect Thursday afternoon and remains at large. Authorities said he is affiliated with the violent Mara Salvatrucha 13 street gang and has “MS-13” tattooed across his back.
On Wednesday police arrested Tina Moya, 38, Raul Nunez-Soto, 46, and a 17-year-old girl in the death of Richard Limon.
Gracias, who sometimes uses the names Edwin Rivera and Ernestor Rivera, says he is from El Salvador, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said.
MS-13 is based in El Salvador and Los Angeles and has factions in 42 states, including Colorado, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.
Gracias has several other tattoos: “LA” on his right forearm and “503,” the country telephone code for El Salvador, down the back of his right arm.
He also has “Maria” on the left side of his chest and “Nena” on his left hand.
He is 5 feet 10 inches tall and 170 pounds and has short brown hair and no facial hair.
Gracias most recently has lived in Denver and is known to hang out near Federal Boulevard and Yale Avenue, according to the Sheriff’s Office. He also has lived in California and Louisiana, authorities said.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts can call authorities at 303-271-5612.
Information about Gracias’ criminal history, if any, was not released. He does not appear in Colorado court records.
Moya and Nunez-Soto, as well as the victim, have extensive criminal records.
Limon’s body was found just off Lariat Loop Road on Aug. 17 by cyclists. His name was released only Tuesday, as authorities had difficulty reaching his next of kin.
The Sheriff’s Office has declined to discuss the relationship of the four suspects to Limon, but in public records Limon and Moya name each other as next of kin.
Moya and Nunez-Soto are each facing first-degree murder charges — a charge that often alleges premeditation. They are being held without bail at the Jefferson County jail.
The teenage girl, who has not been named because she is a juvenile, is being held without bail at the Mount View Youth Services Center in Littleton, also on suspicion of first- degree murder.
