At least 10 adults and 12 children were displaced this morning after a fire damaged four units at a Littleton apartment complex, say fire officials.
One woman was injured but was later treated and released from a local hospital.
The fire started in the kitchen of one of the units in the two-story complex, located at 5494 Huron St., said Littleton Fire Rescue Capt. Jim Olsen.
The fire gutted the kitchen and caused heavy smoke damage to the rest of the apartment. Three adjoining units were also damaged by smoke and those residents were evacuated, Olsen said.
The Mile High Chapter of the American Red Cross helped the victims with temporary housing, clothing and food.
