Cañon City at Lewis-Palmer
Oct. 14, 7 p.m.
This could be the premier matchup in what figures to be a fierce grind of South Central League play. The teams begin the season ranked and will need a win to keep pace in the top-heavy league. Lewis-Palmer won the matchup 24-15 last season.
Mtn. View at Silver Creek
Oct. 21, 7 p.m., Everly-Montgomery Field
Northern League supremacy could be staked to this one, with a top-of-the- bracket playoff seed perhaps in the balance. Silver Creek will employ its vaunted passing attack against the physical-minded Mountain Lions.
Windsor at Frederick
Nov. 4, 7 p.m.
This regular-season finale, in the last prep game ever played at Alex Tesone Field, could decide the Tri-Valley League winner. Windsor will seek revenge after Frederick rallied in the fourth quarter to win 15-7 last season.
