Westminster police have set up a search perimeter around a King Soopers pharmacy that was robbed at about 5:30 p.m. today.

They are looking for a robber described only as white and in his mid-20s. Police also are not specifying the weapon he used in the robbery or the type of narcotics he got away with.

The man ran from the store in the Standley Shores Shopping Center at 9983 Wadsworth Parkway, said Westminster police investigator Cheri Spottke. Several streets are blocked in the area, but as of about 6:30 p.m., the man had not been located, she said.

The King Soopers is across Wadsworth Boulevard from a Walgreens pharmacy that was robbed of narcotic pain pills at gunpoint at about 5:20 p.m. on July 15.

In that case the suspected robber, Paul McQue Webb, 26, was found about four hours later passed out in a Jeep Cherokee at a stoplight at 92nd Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard. He has an Oct. 4 hearing in the case, court records show.
