The Colorado Public Utilities Commission is scheduled to deliberate and rule today on an appeal to the commission’s previous approval of a 140-mile-long high-voltage transmission line between the San Luis Valley and the Front Range.
The appeal was requested by investor Louis Bacon, on whose Trinchera Ranch a portion of the line would run.
If the PUC upholds its earlier decision, Bacon could file a judicial appeal to contest the decision. If the appeal is allowed, a new set of PUC hearings would take place.
