
Dexter Fowler had his hitting streak snapped at six games, but it was a great ride while it lasted. Fowler, 13-for-25 in the six games, went into Tuesday leading the league with 43 runs scored since the all-star break, and was tied in extra-base hits (30) with teammate Troy Tulowitzki. He went 0-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI.
Kids are all right.
They just arrived and already Wilin Rosario and Jordan Pacheco are following hitting coach Carney Lansford’s use-the-whole-field approach. Rosario drove Chris Young to the warning track in center field in his first major-league at-bat in the second. One inning later, Pacheco singled to center in his first at-bat.

The Rockies have lost 12 out of 17 to the D-backs, ensuring them of their second-worst season series ever against Arizona. They finished 3-15 vs. the Snakes in 2008.
