A 27-year-old shot and killed at the Denver Knights Inn was trying to intervene in a domestic dispute, the district attorney’s office said Wednesday.
The office filed a charge of first- degree murder against Scott Shorts, 43, in the death of Brandon Sigala.
“The charge alleges that Shorts shot and killed Sigala as he was trying to stop Shorts from assaulting a woman,” the Denver DA’s office said in a news release.
