Denver police arrested a man this morning, after he allegedly tried to set a family member’s vehicle on fire.

At 6:10 a.m., officers were called to an apartment at 1470 South Quebec Way, on a report of a disturbance, said Detective John White, a spokesman for the Denver Police Department.

After arriving, police learned that the suspect rammed his vehicle through the garage of a family member, who lives at the complex. The man then lit a small fire in her vehicle parked inside the garage.

Police would not say what the relationship between the two is, but confirmed they are involved in a civil dispute.

The Denver Fire Department was able to quickly extinguish the small fire.

Police arrested the man who is in his late 50s, White said. His name has not been released.

No injuries were reported.
