Several men robbed a Colorado Springs woman after breaking into her apartment and one robber kept the victim at bay with a fire extinguisher.
The incident happened at about 11:35 p.m. Monday in the 2500 block of East Cache La Poudre Street, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department crime blotter.
Police said a woman was inside an apartment with two children when she heard “strange noises” outside. The front door was forced open and a man, armed with a fire extinguisher, entered.
The intruder “pointed a fire extinguisher at her and told her to stay in the living room,” police said.
Three other men entered the apartment and went to a back bedroom and stole several pieces of electronic equipment. A fifth man stayed out front. All five fled together.
Responding officers checked the area but did not find any suspects.
