COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Colorado Springs police say a woman has been found dead after a deputy fired on her car as she fled.
Police said deputies went to the Chief Motel to arrest a person on a warrant Tuesday when a car began driving away, striking a deputy. The deputy fired at the car, but the driver escaped.
Authorities say the woman who fled was found dead in her car at Memorial Hospital about three hours later.
The woman was not identified and the cause of death is under investigation.
