Aurora Hills Middle School was evacuated at approximately 9:00 a.m. this morning after a burning odor was reported.
The Aurora Fire Department said it was likely an electrical short that caused the smell, Capt. Allen Robnett said. There was no fire in the school.
Firefighters cleared the scene at 9:26 a.m. and students and were allowed back in the building shortly after.
