A 70-year-old Lakewood man on a bicycle was killed this morning when he was hit by a sport-utility vehicle, police said this afternoon.
Lyle F. Klataske was struck at about 6:30 a.m. as he pedaled along West Morrison Road near South Owens Lane, Lakewood police said.
Police said in a press release that they do not anticipate filing charges against the driver.
“It would initially appear the bicyclist may have turned in front of the vehicle,” the agency stated.
