Rise Against calls Colorado its second home. Drummer Brandon Barnes grew up near Conifer and still lives in Morrison, and the band has also recorded most of its records at the Blasting Room in Fort Collins. So it makes sense that the group is headlining a big radio show, KTCL’s Not-So-Silent Night, at the 1stBank Center on Dec. 6. Also on the bill is another band with a local tie: Flogging Molly, whose bassman Nathen Maxwell has lived in Denver for quite a while now. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday. ($36.25, )
The B-52s are more than just an ’80s novelty kitsch act. With 2008’s “The Funplex,” the “Love Shack” gang proved that they still have some party anthems in them. The band will play an intimate club show Dec. 11 at the Ogden Theatre. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday. ($37.50, )
Amos Lee will play a special show at the Buell Theatre on Dec. 9 — with guest Brett Dennen. Both artists are on the rise at Triple-A radio (think KBCO), and the Buell will be an ideal spot to catch them. Tickets go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. ($30.50-$51, )
