LOG LANE VILLAGE — The town marshal of Log Lane Village has been arrested on allegations of sexual assault.
Fort Morgan police arrested Edwin Irizarry- Urrutia, 33, of Fort Morgan on Tuesday.
Log Lane Village, which has a population of about 900 people, is near Fort Morgan. The town marshal is the equivalent of the small town’s police chief.
The police department got a warrant after a woman claimed Irizarry-Urrutia sexually assaulted her in the early morning of Sept. 15, Lt. Jared Crone of the Fort Morgan Police Department told 9News.
The accuser and Irizarry-Urrutia were recent acquaintances, Crone said. 9News
