Consistency? Jungers understands its meaning and implements it. A year ago he helped Regis Jesuit to the Class 5A title game, rushing for 1,553 yards and 20 touchdowns.
Now a senior, Jungers is at it again with 385 yards rushing and six touchdowns through four games.
Since the beginning of the 2010 season, the 5-foot-8, 185-pounder has rushed for at least 72 yards in 16 of 18 games. Jungers also has nine games of at least 100 yards rushing. And he has scored touchdowns in 15 of 18 games, a primary option in a balanced attack.
“He’s a dependable runner,” RJ coach Mark Nolan said. “He’ll get the tough yards for us. He has a knack for yards after contact.”
