A 27-year-old man moving with his family from Denver to Simi Valley, Calif., was killed Thursday when the U-Haul truck he was driving crashed in Grand Junction.
Eric K. Bartholomew was pulling a car on a trailer behind the rented truck when he lost control and crashed into the piling of an Interstate 70 overpass just before noon, according to the Mesa County Coroner’s Office.
The man’s family and a friend helping with the move were in two other trucks, one traveling ahead of Bartholomew and one behind him.
