The senior leadership of Denver Mayor Michael Hancock’s office is going on a retreat this weekend at a Beaver Creek hotel to work on strategic planning.

No public funds will be spent on the retreat, said Amber Miller, Hancock spokeswoman.

The city has contracted with Alchemy: The Art of Transforming Business — a business-strategy consulting firm with offices in Denver and London. Any lodging expenses at the Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch hotel, meals or entertainment will come out of private funds, Miller said.
