WARD, Colo.—Colorado search teams are looking for a 72-year-old man who did not return from a hike early Friday.
The Denver Post reports Sunday that about 50 rescue workers are searching for Ernest “Jon” Macaulay of Boulder. His vehicle was found in the Brainard Lake recreational area northwest of Boulder Friday.
The Boulder County Sheriff’s office says Macaulay hikes daily in the Boulder area and searchers believe he is healthy. Authorities say there is nothing suspicious about his disappearance.
