Launch of the nation’s next-generation weather satellite has been pushed back two days after tests revealed leaky components in the Delta 2 rocket.

The National Polar-orbiting Operational Environmental Satellite System Preparatory Project, or NPP, now is scheduled to launch Oct. 27 from Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calif. Ball Aerospace and Technologies of Broomfield built the spacecraft, and United Launch Alliance of Centennial is providing the rocket.
