A short standoff ended peacefully overnight when a man surrendered to Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies.
The Sheriff’s Office said the man came out of a residence Sunday morning when they began to tow his vehicle. He was taken to headquarters for questioning and released pending further investigation.
Morrison police had surrounded an Indian Hills home late Saturday after a driver whose vehicle struck a police car fled into the residence.
“One of the officers had to dive out of the way to avoid being hit,” said police Sgt. Robert Payne.
