A man was shot twice early Saturday morning in the parking lot of a Colorado Springs bar.

At about 1:25 a.m. “officers heard multiple gunshots and screaming coming from the parking lot” of the Golden Cue Nightclub, 2790 Hancock Expressway, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department crime blotter.

“Officers checked the parking lot and broke up an active fight, but did not locate any shooting victims,” police said.

Several minutes later, however, police were told that a man at the Golden Cue had been shot “multiple times” and was being taken to a local hospital.

Officers cordoned off the parking lot looking for evidence of the shooting. A motive in the shooting is unknown, an investigation is ongoing, police said.

The victim, who was shot twice, is recovering.
