DENVER—Newmont Mining Corp. has named Rio Tinto Minerals President and Chief Executive Officer Gary Goldberg as its chief operating officer.
The 52-year-old is set to join Newmont on Dec. 5.
Denver-based Newmont also said Monday it has named Brian Hill as executive vice president for sustainability and external affairs. Hill has been Newmont’s executive vice president for operations since 2008.
