Life’s a ball for Dennis Schrader — 4,600 of them. The mobile-home executive from Odessa, Fla., just landed in the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest collection of autographed baseballs — including 10 signed by Babe Ruth — from six decades of scouring. Schrader, 65, keeps the estimated $3 million worth of balls in a heavily fortified, high-security room in his basement. “It’s fireproof, it’s bomb-proof,” he said. “If there’s a tornado warning, we come in here with a beer and sit down.” The Seattle Times
