A 29-year-old climbing instructor from Highlands Ranch has been arrested on suspicion of unlawful sexual contact involving an underage girl.
Morgan Huston, who taught rock climbing at Eastridge Recreational Center for five years, was arrested Thursday, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
A girl under the age of 18 told a school counselor about the allegations and the information was passed on to a school resource officer, according to a sheriff’s office media release.
A criminal investigation began earlier this week. Huston, who does not work for the school district, also faces an obscenity charge.
The girl “attended Huston’s instructional class on climbing,” the sheriff’s office said.
Huston was released from the Douglas County Jail after posting a $2,000 bond.
