A man was arrested early this morning in Larimer County as deputies discovered him in the middle of trying to open an ATM machine.
The man, James Michael Joyner, 56, is described by Larimer County Sheriff’s Office as an unemployed mason from Loveland.
The arrest happened after the sheriff’s office was called at about 4:25 a.m. to the Schrader’s County Store — also known as Ted’s Place — on 92 West Highway 14 on the report of an open alarm.
When deputies arrived, they found Joyner attempting to open the ATM machine. Deputies were able to arrest him without incident.
Joyner is being charged with two counts of burglary, and one count of criminal mischief — all felony charges.
The sheriff’s office is also looking into the possibility that Joyner may also be involved in other recent burglaries and thefts in unincorporated Larimer County.
Anyone with information about this or any other crime is asked to call Larimer County Sheriff’s Office at 970-416-1985 or Crime Stoppers at 970-221-6868 to remain anonymous and possibly be eligible for a cash reward.
