Weeden throws for school-record 502 yards to help Oklahoma State get past Kansas State 52-45

STILLWATER, Okla. — Brandon Weeden threw for a school-record 502 yards and four touchdowns, and Joseph Randle scored the final, tiebreaking 23-yard touchdown with 2:16 remaining to lift No. 3 Oklahoma State to a 52-45 victory over No. 17 Kansas State on Saturday night.

The Cowboys (9-0) matched the best start in school history and survived quite a scare from K-State, which had three shots at the end zone in the final 12 seconds.

Collin Klein missed on 5-yard passes intended for Tyler Lockett and Chris Harper and then overshot Tramaine Thompson in the end zone as time expired.

No. 7 Oklahoma 41, Texas A&M 25

NORMAN, Okla. — All-American Ryan Broyles, the NCAA’s career leader in receptions, tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee and will miss the remainder of the season.

He got hurt while cutting to make his second catch of the game, a 30-yarder that set up one of four third-quarter touchdowns.

Broyles left the field in tears. He entered the game averaging 13.2 yards on 81 catches. His two catches went for 57 and 30 yards.

Texas 52, Texas Tech 20

AUSTIN, Texas — Freshman Joe Bergeron ran for 191 yards and three touchdowns and Texas is bowl-eligible after missing the postseason last year for the first time since 1997.

Texas ran for 439 yards against one of the worst rushing defenses in the country. Bergeron topped 100 yards for the second week in a row and Fozzy Whittaker ran for two second-quarter touchdowns.

The Red Raiders have been outscored 93-27 the last two games.

Baylor 42, Missouri 39

WACO, Texas — Robert Griffin III threw for 406 yards and three touchdowns and ran for another, and the Tigers came up short in trying to overcome a 14-point, fourth-quarter deficit.

Iowa State 13, Kansas 10

AMES, Iowa — Zach Guyer kicked a 42-yard field goal with 4:30 left to give Iowa State the lead, and backup running back Jeff Woody helped the Cyclones run out the clock.
